Zomigon tablets are made of 2.5 mg Zolmitriptan. Zolmitriptan is 5-HT1 drug that is known to do away with migraine pains. It achieves this by contacting the blood vessels present in the head.
Zomigon drug was developed to treat migraine attacks that have or lack aura i.e. a feeling that warns of an attack. As soon as you suspect migraine attack, prevent further complications by taking Zomigon tablets. This is when this drug will be most effective.
Zomigon will help in relieving pain, headache and other signs of migraines like vomiting, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. The use of Zomigon is what will get you back to normal. It is the best alternative to all other painkillers. However, it is good to note that Zomigon will offer short lived relief. It doesn’t prevent future migraines nor does it reduce the frequency of migraine pains.
After administering one 2.5 gm tablet, you will experience relief in an hour’s time. If you don’t get relief within two hours maximum, you can take another drug. Of great importance to note is that you should not take more than 10 gm within 24 hours.
Zolmitriptan is an oral drug that is taken through the mouth. When the migraine signs appear for the first time, take half the tablet. It is good to adhere to the directions given by your physician. Plenty of fluids especially water is encouraged.
The use of Zomigon has mild and transient side effects. It doesn’t have long term effects. Before you take it, tell your doctor of other medications you are under. This is because if you mix drugs, they may react making you experience severe side effects.
