What is Silagra?

Silagra is prescription only medication for the treatment of impotence in MEN only. The medication is taken orally through the mouth before engaging in sex.

Most people have in the past raised questions about the drugs for the treatment of impotence. These questions range from how to use the drug, how the use of the drug may affect the relationship between the couples and whether women can use.

How does Silagra work?

Silagra works by dilating the arteries that supply blood in to the male penis. Once the arteries dilate, blood will then fill the small spaces in the male penis that are referred to as the sinusoids.

Once the penis has hardened because of the increased flow of blood, the veins will become compressed and this will prevent the flow of blood out of the penis. The causing of filling the sinusoids with blood is what causes the erection after taking Silagra.

How is Silagra taken?

You should take ONLY ONE Silagra tablet before you plan to engage in sex. You should ensure that there is duration of about 24 hours between two subsequent dosages of Silagra.

Because of the risk of side effects, the patient should be put on the lowest possible dosage of Silagra. Most doctors prescribe 50 mg as the starting dose. If this low dosage does not work you should contact your doctor for further advice. The doctor may adjust the dosage upwards or downwards depending on your response and reactions to the drug.

What are the side effects of Silagra

Like most other drugs for the treatment of impotence, Silagra has side effects. These side effects may vary in intensity and duration from one person to another.

The most common side effects are headache and dizziness. Other side effects include:

  • Vision changes
  • Stomach upsets
  • Runny nose
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Alerted heart rhythms
  • Delayed ejaculation

If you have erection lasting for more than more hours ( priapism) after taking Silagra you should contact your doctor immediately. The unusual prolonged erection can cause damage of the penis tissues.
