Cialis is by far the most effective and safe erectile dysfunction drug available for male erectile dysfunction problems also called impotence. This is an ongoing problem with getting or keeping a hard enough erection to have sex to their satisfaction. The erection problem results in the man being unable to penetrate their partner or keep their erection to allow enjoyable sex. Cialis (tadalafil) can be used to alleviate this problem.
Cialis works in much the same way as Viagra and Levitra, by inhibiting PDE5, which is an enzyme which is responsible for breaking down men’s erections. However there are many differences between Cialis and other impotence solutions that make it a preferable choice for some men.
Cialis relaxes muscles and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body. It is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Cialis works by increasing the flow of blood to the penis during sexual stimulation. It allows most men to get and keep an erection long enough to complete sexual relations. When sex is over, the erection dissipates normally. Once taken, Tadalafil begins to work within an hour, and allows its user a 36 hour window in which to make love, abolishing the need for establishing whether one is going to have sex in the next few hours or so in order to take one’s pill in time. This property has earned Cialis the nickname ‘the weekend pill’, because it allows its users to reclaim the freedom of being able to spend romantic time with their partners without having to worry about erectile dysfunction impeding their intimacy.
Take one Cialis tablet before sexual activity. Some form of sexual stimulation is needed for an erection to happen. In some patients, the ability to have sexual activity was improved 30 minutes after taking Cialis and the ability to have sexual activity was improved up to 36 hours after taking it. Take this medication with a full glass of water. Cialis can be taken with or without food. Cialis is usually taken only when needed, just before sexual activity. Cialis may also be taken daily (at a lower dose), regardless of when sexual activity is planned. An erection will not occur just by taking a pill.
For treatment of erectile dysfunction recommended dose for adults is 10 mg as a single dose no more than once a day, taken before you think sexual activity may occur. A 20 mg dose of Cialis is comparable to a 100 mg dose of sildenafil (Viagra). Cialis stays in the system for up to 24 hours and with fewer side effects.
Do not take Cialis more than once a day. Allow 24 hours to pass between doses. If you take the medication daily, take it at the same time each day. Contact your doctor or seek emergency medical attention if your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours. A prolonged erection (priapism) can damage the penis. Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
More common side effects include blurred vision, stomach upsets, headaches, back pain, and a runny nose. These symptoms are normally mild and pass within a few hours. If they persist, or if you experience such side effects as swelling of the hands and feet, an irregular heartbeat, loss of vision or hearing, chest pain, an erection that lasts for more than four hours, or any other sudden and dramatic symptom, seek medical advice as quickly as possible.
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. During sexual activity, if you become dizzy or nauseated, or have pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw, stop and call your doctor right away. You could be having a serious side effect of Cialis.
